Chaos Theory and Information Architecture

Chaos theory has come to information architecture. There is chaos (social tagging) and there is now order within it - it's being called TAG Ontology.

If we analyse the way users consumer information and the way they search - some patterns will emerge from the chaos. We formalise those patterns into an architecture that has some meaning.

We give the computer information about this pattern which helps it understand it (this is the semantic framework - ontology).

Emerging from that tagontology is the semantic web - an artificially intelligent search environment where human understanding is embedded in the internet.
